He's baaaaack!
"Mission Accomplished. Dick Black is history."
Or so we believed back in 2006. According to the blog Too Conservative, and picked up by Blue Virginia, Mr. Black has been discussing his intention to challenge incumbant Mark Herring for the 33rd Senate seat, the very seat that his 'mini-me' Mick Staton failed to win.
Below this paragraph, this site is preserved as it was in January 2006, as an archive of what Dick Black meant to Loudoun County and to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Only the name has changed. Enjoy.

The Top 10 Reasons to Get Black Out:

think about Dick Black and BlackOut 2005.
Welcome to the home of Black Out 2005
"As a conservative, an NRA member, an anti-tax advocate, a U.N. basher, a Limbaugh caller, a Bush supporter, a former Washington Post subscriber and a pro-life organizer, I am sick of making excuses because of Black's incivility, ineffectiveness and shallowness. Unfortunately, Black never learned the J. Edgar Hoover adage, "Don't embarrass the Bureau." Black is an embarrassment to us all. My "BlackOut 2005" bumper sticker rests alongside my tattered, five-year-old Bush sticker and my new Kilgore ones." -John Feegel, former chief of staff for Republican leader, House of Delegates, in Loudoun Extra
"I was shocked and saddened that Mr. Black really believes that Loudoun is made up of only extreme conservatives like himself and actually went as far as to address the audience and indicated they must come from Arlington and places outside of Loudoun when people did not applaud his anti-abortion, pro-discrimination family values stance. I am very concerned that Mr. Black is so out of touch with the actual constituency in Loudoun and that he is not aware of the vibrant, diverse and welcoming community we have." - Lisa Fredrich, Ashburn Farm, in Loudoun Connection
We are a political action committee spanning the political spectrum - Republicans, Democrats and Independents - who are united in opposing the reelection of Richard H. "Dick" Black to the Virginia House of Delegates. We are fed up with the lack of representation for residents of the 32nd District, and fed up with Dick Black's personal agenda.
There are probably thousands of reasons to get Black out. We are going to do our best to document just some of them. This is not material you are likely to see in Dick Black's carefully crafted mailings, press releases or campaign appearances.
We intend to show voters the real Dick Black: his ineffective legislative record, his antics and grandstanding on the House floor, his service to special interests at the expense of his Loudoun constituents, his patronizing view of women, his disinterest in funding public education, his disdain for science, his obsessive interest in the intimate lives of citizens, his embrace of censorship, and his frightening disregard for religious and civil liberties.
We will document the contrast between Dick Black's agenda and that of his colleagues in the Loudoun General Assembly delegation, demonstrating that Black is far out of the mainstream even within his own party.
Dick Black is not only extreme, but also extremely ineffective. Instead of using his position to advocate for education, transportation and a sensible budget that invests in our future, issues that are critical to the residents of his district, he spends his time thinking of new ways to impose his personal agenda and personal religious beliefs on all Virginians. He champions developers' agendas at taxpayers' expense, alienates his colleagues, attempts to divert investment in our public schools to finance the ideological agenda of his friends, and threatens the health, safety and welfare of Virginians to engage in far right social engineering.
Extreme.
Ineffective.
